Max Wasserman
Audio Producer | Project Manager

My audio journey began while recording an enormous instrument for an NPR station in Seattle. It was my first day interning for the station's newscast, and the instrument in question was a 1,500 pound Carillion. Sadly, I didn't save the recording. But the experience did two things: kindled my love for audio, and provided a neat, albeit unused bit of trivia knowledge.

Since then, I've helped write and produce an investigative series on immigration for WSHU Public Radio. I've revisited the medical mysteries of the late neurologist Oliver Sacks for Audible. I've pondered the future of space, stuff, and sex for South by Southwest. I produced The Decision Coach, a show where host Nell McShane Wulfhart resolves people's major life decisions. Lastly, I helped produce an investigative series about the first federally funded climate relocation in the United States for Audiation
Currently, I'm lead producer for RVA's Got Issues, a weekly news podcast about the people and ideas reshaping Richmond, VA. I also teach an intro to podcasting class at Virginia Commonwealth University. When I'm not podcasting, I'm outside, cooking or spending time with my dog.
